TalkieTalkie privacy policy

Microphone — used only while you press and hold the talk button. Your voice is streamed live to other devices running TalkieTalkie on the same WiFi network. Audio is never recorded, stored, or sent to any server.
Local network — the app discovers other TalkieTalkie devices on your WiFi (via Bonjour/mDNS) and streams audio directly to them (UDP multicast). This traffic stays inside your network.
Location permission (WiFi name only) — the operating system requires location permission to read the name (SSID) of the WiFi network you are connected to, which the app shows at the top of the roster. The app never reads, stores, or transmits your location.
Device name — your device's name (or the nickname you set in the app) is visible to other TalkieTalkie users on the same network so they can see who is on the channel.

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no accounts, and makes no connections to the internet.

TalkieTalkie does not collect data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
